Police say they have arrested four women from Romania in connection to a Nassau County burglary spree.
The suspects are accused of breaking into seven homes in Elmont, Bethpage, East Meadow, Levittown and Plainview over a span of five weeks.
Police say the women stole large amounts of money and personal belongings from each residence.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Chicago police and the NYPD all assisted Nassau County police with the investigation.
News 12 spoke to residents in Plainview, Bethpage and Levittown on the blocks where police say the burglaries happened.
Those who spoke to News 12 on and off camera say they had no idea the burglaries happened on their blocks.
All four women pleaded not guilty during their arraignments Wednesday.
Nassau police tell News 12 that it is still an open investigation.
